Answer seven questions for a plan, or go straight to the home ranking, the first-weeks checklist, the career ladders and the training courses.
Seven taps. Your answers set a home, a starting phase, a first career ladder, and the courses to take before it. Core courses come before your specialty.
Star Citizen locks your home for the whole patch. Tap what you care about and the 12 selectable homes re-rank.
12 homes in 7 rows. Tap a row for its reasons.
Your primary residence stays fixed until the next patch. You choose again at your first login after a new patch lands.
You first wake up in a hab at your home, and your inventory is stored there.
Mission reward items are delivered to your primary residence, wherever you earned them.
Set your regeneration point at any medical facility or medical bed. You can reset it to your home later.
Five phases, in order. Tick items off as you go. Ticks are saved on this device only. Keys shown are the defaults.
Done when: your stick, throttle or mouse does what you expect in Free Flight.
Done when: you can go from bed to ship to orbit to a station and home again without looking anything up.
Done when: you have finished five contracts for one employer.
Live until 4.10.2Orison Relief Support is open to anyone and suits this phase. Covalex and Ling run medical supply hauls from New Babbage and Port Tressler to Orison, Foxwell runs security contracts, and Cornerstone runs rebuilding work. Progress is personal and unlocks six SecondWind weapons and armor sets.
Done when: you could lose your ship and its cargo once and keep working.
No finish line. Re-pick your home at the next patch to match what you do now.
Seven ways to earn, each as a three-rung ladder. Fees and payouts are samples from 4.10.1 contract data. They change with patches, so trust the number on the contract.
Also in the game: refuelling contracts (the intro ones ask for hydrogen only as of 4.10.1), crafting at Item Fabricators, and racing inside Arena Commander.
Four courses. Drills marked Basics are the core of each course, and the rest build on them. Arena Commander is on the main menu. It is a simulator, so ships and gear used there are never lost.
